Trim Levels (Exterior)
The new 2025 Kia Sportage has seven configurations: LX, EX, X-Line, SX, SX Prestige, X-Pro, and X-Pro Prestige. Each model shares identical dimensions — 183.5 inches long, 73.4 inches wide, and a 108.5-inch wheelbase — balancing city maneuverability with interior roominess.
The LX comes with 17-inch alloy wheels, while the EX adds an extra inch on the wheels and fancier exterior touches. New dark-themed styling and beefier front and rear bumpers are featured on the X-Line and X-Pro models.
The X-Pro models are also built for serious off-roading, with 17-inch black wheels and BF Goodrich all-terrain tires. Sun lovers get a panoramic sunroof on the SX and higher trims, while the SX Prestige, and X-Pro Prestige get LED rear combination taillights.
Engine (Power)
Each 2025 Sportage runs with the same 2.5-liter four-cylinder engine delivering 187 horsepower and 178 pound-feet of torque. It features double overhead cams, four valves per cylinder, and runs on regular 87-octane fuel.
The LX, EX, SX, and SX Prestige come standard with front-wheel drive. For extra traction, the X-Line, X-Pro, and X-Pro Prestige include all-wheel drive. An eight-speed automatic transmission handles shifting duties across all models.
Performance
The Sportage provides a comfortable ride, handles bumps with ease, and has an estimated top speed of 120 mph — everything you need for your daily drive. It reaches 60 mph in 9.1 seconds, which is perfect for merging on the highway.
All Sportage models can tow up to 2,500 pounds, enough for small campers or recreational toys. The X-Pro variants stand out for off-road adventures thanks to specialized suspension tuning and grippy all-terrain tires that excel on muddy trails and rough roads.
Interior
Inside the Sportage, base LX models get a standard 8-inch touchscreen, but EX and higher trims bump that up to a much more impressive 12.3-inch display with sharp graphics and quick responses.
Most models include wireless charging pads, while Apple CarPlay and Android Auto come standard across the board. Music lovers should consider the upper trims, which include a Harman Kardon audio setup that makes long drives much more enjoyable.
The Sportage doesn't disappoint in cargo space, with 39.6 cubic feet behind the back seats and 74.1 with the seats folded down. A clever dual-level cargo floor lets you arrange things your way depending on what you're carrying.
